Lecturer in Law
Ms. Shah previously worked as a litigation attorney at the law firm of Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP, where she specialized in employment and real estate. In addition, she has a wide range of experience in other practice areas including personal injury, construction defect, business and commercial litigation and complex and class-action litigation. Ms. Shah maintained an active trial practice, appearing in both state and federal court, as well as before various administrative bodies. She also gave day-to-day counsel to a number of corporate and individual clients, providing them advice on legal and business issues. Ms. Shah also served as a mentor to junior attorneys within the firm. She also serves as a board member of the Asian Pacific Community Fund. She has been involved in numerous California Bar and minority bar associations, including serving as past president of the South Asian Bar Association of Southern California and the board of the South Asian Bar Association of North America.
In addition to her current practice, Ms. Shah also maintains an active mediation practice. She received her B.A. in Political Science from UC Irvine, and her J.D. from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. She is a member of the California State Bar.
